WE LOVE TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY!

One of the ways we do this is by offering counselling and other community services.

We offer safe and confidential Christian counselling to anyone in need, both within the church as well as in the broader community.

OUR COUNSELLORS

Our Christian counsellors are volunteers trained in Christian counselling [they are not psychologists]. For this reason, they cannot counsel within the scope of any mental health diagnoses/addictions/major depression/legal issues.

Our counsellors work within their skills to assist you to work through any life issues you may be facing. If they feel you need further assistance, they will recommend a referral.

HOW WE WORK

We are a donation-based service to the community [where people can afford]. Due to the demand for counselling, we might at times have a waiting list.

At the moment we only offer counselling on Fridays in term time from 9am to 4pm. Our affidavit services are on a case to case basis and you will be contacted to set up a time once you've booked.

Your booking fees go towards counselling resources and building a new counselling room.

MEET OUR TEAM

Yvette McAlpine

Yvette Mc Alpine has a degree in Counselling Psychology and completed her honours at SACAP in 2022. Yvette is a devoted wife and mother of two. She and her family relocated to Centurion in 2020 and joined Grace Cov Church where she plays an active role. Yvette and her husband served as deacons at their previous church, Cornerstone Church in Bedfordview, where they fellowshipped for over 25 years. In parenting her daughters through difficult times and helping at her church, she realised the difference she could make for people needing support and wanted to pursue psychology as a career. She is a people person through and through with a heart for helping others through emotional trials.

Gerda Davies

I'm Gerda Davies and I am a Aqua aerobics instructor, swimming teacher, and trained Christian Councellor. I have a degree in Social Work, but decided to work with kids in the pool instead! I've been part of an inner healing ministry for 12 years now and I love doing marriage councelling with my husband. We work well together as a team. I love to see people meet with Jesus, experience freedom and see them smile again when God shows them how much He loves them. I'm crazy about God and people.

Mike Naidoo

I am Mike Naidoo, married to Lily for over 30 years. I have two grown up daughters. I'm currently 30 years in the South African Police Service and hold the rank of Colonel at the Office of the National Commissioner, Corporate Support. I'm a member of GraceCov church and serve as a Deacon in the leadership of our church. I currently lead the Kids Ministry team with my my wife. I have a deep passion for helping people and that's what lead me to assist people and give professional advise,

guiding individuals and families who are facing domestic violence through the legal processes as well as offering further help where needed. Also offering Commissioner of Oaths and Affidavits.

Alex Meyer

My name is Alex Meyer. I’m a wife and mother of 2 grown children. We joined Grace Covenant Church in 2019 when we moved to Centurion.

I have been part of Christian ministries and their prayer counselling teams for over 15 years and have a heart to come along side people through difficult and troubling times by praying together with them and looking to the Lord for help and encouragement.
